Can I use the ESU-2300 or the ESU-2050 to test the output of my ABC generator?
Can I use the ESU-2300 or the ESU-2050 to test the output of my ABC (Argon Beam Coagulator) electro surgery generators?
In general, yes. ABC generators such as the Conmed System 7500/7550 can be tested with the ESU-2300 and/or ESU-2050 by using an adapter that is fabricated from a standard patient “active lead” pencil to bypass the flow of Argon gas and simply apply the RF energy of the ABC generator directly to the active lead of the ESU-2300 or to the external load of the ESU-2050 current measurement loop. Conmed customers are taught exactly how to do this when they attend a factory service class on the System 7500/7550 and other manufacturers such as Erbe USA have a similar approach.
